nafem.gif (1130 bytes)- The North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) represents approximately 700 companies throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico that manufacture commercial foodservice equipment and supplies. This web site can help you locate most manufacturers of foodservice equipment. One of the better industry calendars is found here.

With more than 30,000 members representing more than 175,000 restaurants, National Restaurant Association membership includes tableservice restaurants, quickservice outlets and cafeterias, as well as professionals and academic institutions associated with the industry. Get info on the popular NRA show. Excellent list of foodservice related trade publications. The Education Foundation website is a great place to find out about training and foodsafety issues.

FDA FOOD CODE - This is the federal model food code that most states base their food code laws on.

MINNESOTA FOOD CODE - This an example of how a state has taken the federal model food code and implemented it into law. Became MN law as of September 8, 1998. This document is available from the Minnesota Department of Health website.
