Mission

To deliver innovative products, services and knowledge to the foodservice dealer, equipment manufacturer,  multi-unit operator, third party auditor or governmental agency. To help food and beverage operators protect their foodservice investments with technology and information.

History

We incorporated Johnson Diversified Products, Inc. in 1994 in response to customer requests to warehouse Chicago Faucets and replacement parts, and because we saw a need to market products like water treatment to help our customers avoid problems with equipment that we were marketing to them.

Coincidental with our foundation we entered the field of food safety and sanitation and worked hard to understand the FDA Food Code and make a difference through active participation in the Conference for Food Protection and many various committees.  Between the Milwaukee conference and the one in Nashville, (3) of (6) of our submittals (for code revision) have passed by the delegates of the CFP, resulting in changes to the FDA Food Code.  We obtained errors and omissions insurance in 1996 and began consulting to a rather diverse group of entities, comprised of governmental agencies, licensed food and/or beverage operators, and manufacturers of food and beverage equipment. As we got deeper into food safety, we looked for products that could help our industry meet the demands of ensuring safe food.  With that we started to market thermometers, temperature monitoring systems, and now we are working with many creative companies who are at the forefront of food safety innovation.

Meanwhile, the more traditional side of our distributorship has blossomed due to our expertise in other codes, such as mechanical code and commercial kitchen ventilation. We can now provide turnkey ventilation solutions for our consultant and kitchen equipment contractor customers.  This capability has blossomed into a unique and valued relationship with Quizno’s and their prime supplier National Restaurant Supply.  We are the sole source for exhaust systems to vent their in-store exhibition style sandwich warming process.  Our unique blend of diverse specialties has produced yet another new capability and opportunity.  We have developed ourselves in the specialty of reasonable interventions for the quality assurance department, brand protection manager, and plant manger of a food or beverage operation.
